Arunkaka Abhyankar - Embodiment of the saying 'Age is just a number' !

He started cycling at the young age of 60 and has already crossed the mark of 1 lakh kms. I am happy to introduce you my Guru Shri Arunkaka Abhyankar. Arunkaka has been a sport affectionate since childhood. He played Langadi, Kho Kho in his formative years. He took up Swimming and then Badminton in later years. Graduating from Parvati to Sinhgad, he followed the routine of reaching the base of Sinhgad at 6.00 am to climb up and returning by 8.30 am every Wednesday for 15 years. This naturally led him to scale Himalayas in due course. He had his own shop for two-wheeler repairs for more than 25 years. When he decided to start a new venture, he did SWOT analysis of two possible options and decided to get into making and selling local sweet delicacies of highest standards, which he continues to do till date.Kaka at 73, uses cycle for daily commute, clocking almost 50 kms.
