Chicot the Jester

This early work is Alexandre Dumas’s 1910 novel, "Chicot the Jester". A collaborative effort with Auguste Maquet, it tells the fantastic story of a nobleman jester who has the audacity to mock a king and the guile to disarm a venerable knight in a heated battle. Alexandre Dumas (1802–1870) was a famous French writer. He is best remembered for his exciting romantic sagas, including "The Three Musketeers" and "The Count of Monte Cristo".
