Before her husband was sent to prison, Liz suffered from regular abuse. Now, with the help of her best friend Patti, she is free to start a new life. Once Liz seems to be on the mend, Patti travels home to her family ranch in Texas. She has a plan - to match-make Liz with Paul, the big Texan cowboy. With her fresh start and new love interest, Liz soon begins her journey back to happiness - but memories are triggered and Liz slips back to the timid, frightened girl she was before.
