#1 The author explains that the disciples had gone fishing, and when they caught nothing, Jesus asked them to bring some of the fish they had caught. When they brought the fish, Jesus asked them to have breakfast.

#2 The disciples had pulled another all-nighter. They were skunked again. And again, Jesus gave them a hint that it was him by letting the nets burst. This was all a play on their friendship, and they all fell into laughing again.

#3 The most beautiful story in the Bible is about Jesus catching his disciples fishing. It is a beautiful story made even more beautiful because it is not religious in nature.

#4 If you want to know Jesus, you must understand that his opponents are all invested in doing religion right. They consider themselves to be so. The first purpose of your existence is to be resolved, and from there you are set to fulfill all of God’s other purposes for you.
