The Dark Universe: Understanding the Inexplicable in Space

For centuries, humanity has gazed at the night sky and wondered what lies beyond. The vastness of the cosmos has always been a source of fascination, mystery, and deep philosophical thought. Scientists estimate that everything we can see and detect — all the stars, galaxies, and planets — makes up less than 5% of the total universe. The rest is composed of dark matter and dark energy, things we cannot observe directly but know must exist due to their effects on the visible world. These unknown forces influence the movement of galaxies, the expansion of space, and possibly the fate of the cosmos itself.
