The Hunted

From the bestselling author of the Gideon Johann Western Series, the Wild Horse Westerns Series, and the Hand Of Western Series comes The Hunted! On the day that ten-year-old Elijah Decker could no longer tolerate the abuse of his momma at the hands of his pa, he shoots him. His mother, Hannah, fearful for her son’s future from the law and her husband, decides to make an escape to start a new life. The mother and son leave Faron in grave condition to head to the New Mexico Territory by buckboard wagon. On their journey, they encounter Kimball Janssen, a former deputy that occasionally moonlighted relieving mining companies of their payrolls. After a botched robbery gets Kimball shot, he convinces Hannah to pose as his wife. In exchange for her helping him to avoid arrest, he agrees to assist her in settling in Santa Fe. While continuously looking over their shoulders, Kimball and Hannah try to start their new lives. When Faron finally tracks down his family, the wheels are set in motion that will change all of their lives forever. Can Kimball leave his outlaw days behind him? Will Hannah and Elijah find the happiness they so desperately seek or will Faron’s cruelty haunt them for the rest of their lives? Duane Boehm has written another western novel with enough humor, heartbreak, love, and outlaws to keep you turning the page.
