EP 16 - Panchayat

In "Panchayat" by Jaishankar Prasad, Skanda and Ganesh engage in a friendly dispute over who is the elder. Narad suggests holding a Panchayat to settle the matter. The case is brought before Lord Shiva, who suggests a unique solution. He proposes a race around the world, and the one who returns first will be considered the elder. Skanda, riding on his peacock, confidently takes off, while Ganesh, who believes his parents represent the universe, encircles them. When Skanda returns, he is surprised to find Ganesh already seated. Brahma explains that Ganesh circled the universe, represented by their divine parents, thus declaring him the elder. Skanda concedes, and the matter is resolved peacefully.
