Tuominen played 567 PSA matches during his professional career lasting over twenty years and remained in the world's top thirty players for an astounding fourteen years in what might be the hardest sport in the world. A lifetime of squash has included countless hours of training and travel. As Tuominen's professional career came to an end, top Finnish squash is in danger of dying out completely.
