Dr. Patrick McLaughlin's life was moving fast, with his dreams and goals on track. Married, raising four kids, serving patients, growing fifty side businesses, and trying to keep up with a full and sometimes chaotic life.

Then one day, on his coastal North Carolina dock, his world was upended.
