ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK

Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake centers on the island of Fennbirn, where three sister queens are born in each generation: a poisoner, a naturalist, and an elemental. These triplets, upon reaching a certain age, are destined to compete in a deadly battle for the throne. The story follows the lives of Queen Katharine, raised among poisoners; Queen Arsinoe, fostered by naturalists; and Queen Mirabella, living with elementals, as they grow into their powers and navigate the intricate political landscape of the island.
