#1 I had a good feeling about meeting Ralph, and not just because of the cake element. Ralph had been chatty and interesting in his emails. But as we walked through the gallery, a sense of awkwardness settled over us.

#3 The art exhibit was about the permanence of the enclosed objects, compared to the impermanence of the lobster pots. It was also about the concept of cleanliness in a world full of germs and bacteria.

#4 I eventually agreed to go with the profile my children had so sweetly created, and see what happened. I met a man named Beppie, who charmingly remarked, If you're not looking for anything serious, we might be able to have a bit of fun. No thank you.
