Crime Zero: A Novel

Genetic engineering promises a world without violent crime—at a terrifying cost—in this near-future sci-fi thriller.

The death penalty is no deterrent. Prison reform has proven useless. With violent crime on a steady rise, Project Conscience offers a solution that seems too good to be true. And a powerful cabal of scientists, politicians, and law-enforcement is ready to do anything to make it a reality.

FBI criminal psychologist Luke Decker is disgusted to learn that his superiors are embracing the controversial venture. And when Decker learns of a shocking secret from a condemned killer on death row, he is plunged into the terrifying intricacies of a monstrous conspiracy.

Now Decker's only ally is brilliant geneticist Dr. Kathy Kerr—his former lover and the brains behind the original Project Conscience. Together they must find a way to stop a catastrophe that threatens to alter the course of human evolution.
