”Whatever you do, don’t write a memoir.”

A bittersweet memoir by a master of comedy.

How does an English nuclear physicist become both a Finnish tv-comedy writer and the House Director of Finland's largest theatre? And why? Is his private life full of laughter? (Answer: no. That's the secret of his comedy.) And what did Spede Pasanen and Jouko Turkka have in common? (Answer: they both hated Neil Hardwick. Though Turkka eventually changed his mind.) The man behind Tankki täyteen, Reinikainen, and Sisko ja sen veli tells his own story. In his own highly personal way.

Neil Hardwick (born 1948) is a British-Finnish award-winning playwright and theatre and television director. He is best known for his television series Reinikainen, Tankki täyteen, Sisko ja sen veli, Musta tuntuu, and Pakanamaan kartta.
