Dracula's Guest

This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice. Munich, Walpurgis Night. An English traveller sets out alone despite his coachman's frantic warnings and the innkeeper's letter begging him to stay on the main road. The storm closes in, and he finds himself in a deserted valley where an abandoned village lies buried under snow.

There he shelters in a great marble tomb bearing the name of a countess from Styria, a woman the locals say was a suicide and worse. Lightning strikes. Inside the tomb something stirs, and what happens on that frozen hillside brings him under the protection of a power far away in the Carpathians.

Published posthumously in 1914, Dracula's Guest is widely believed to be the deleted opening chapter of Dracula. It is a short, atmospheric masterpiece of vampire fiction and one of the most famous gothic horror stories ever written.
