Five Years To Live

What would you do if you only had five years left to live? For some, this is a tragic reality, for most, it’s a question they will never be forced to answer. Luke Richmond asks this question often, not from morbid curiosity, but to ensure he is filling his days with value and living life with no regrets. The awareness of a finite reality has taken Luke from a small town in rural Australia, into the harshest and most challenging environments on Earth. After serving in the Army, Luke has summited some of the highest peaks, set world records rowing across oceans, dragged a cart through the Gobi Desert, and leapt from cliffs in the adrenalin-fuelled world of B.A.S.E Jumping. These adventures are just a few of the answers Luke discovered when he asked himself this life changing question.

Join him in his third book, Five Years to Live, as he takes you further into the unknown and pedals a tiny boat from Thailand to Sri Lanka, climbs Himalayan peaks in Nepal, and journeys through the vast Australian outback on a bicycle. His persistent desire to see what is over the horizon will also lead you into the desert in search of hidden treasure, onto a raft down the wild Franklin River in Tasmania, on foot along the Larapinta Trail, and riding a surfboard as he attempts to tame the ultimate wave along Australia’s east coast.

Whether you’re an armchair traveller or a fellow thrill-seeker, this memoir is a must-read for anyone who dreams of embarking on their own epic journey of freedom and self-discovery.
