Hokusai

Though most people are familiar with the image The Great Wave off Kanagawa and intuitively recognise it as Japanese in origin few are aware it is a print created by the famous Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760 – 1849). This monograph of his work, now available as an ebook, provides a brief biography of his life together with copious colour illustrations of his work, including both The Great Wave and a sample of Thirty-Six Views of Mt. Fuji, two of his most famous works. View this book on your iPad or Android to fully appreciate its lavish full colour illustrations.
