Reflections

Reflections is a truly unique collection of wisdom, insights and “lessons-learned along the way, ” highlighting almost 50 years of the robust ministry of Cal Bombay. Recounting his diverse ministries, extensive travels and life experiences, Reflections is sometimes an anthology and other times a collection of rich encounters, memories and musings. Cal’s life reads like an adventure novel and his remembrance of these encounters and lessons learned show a keen sense of God’s providence at every step in his life.

Most ministers would be pleased to have even one of Cal’s many experiences. His reflections are at times built on the impact of a mere peculiar incident, other times it is the profoundness of a random thought that occupied his mind for a while, and then there are insights from years of trodding the paths of life with God as a personal friend—being mentored every moment and turning every rich encounter into a reflection.

Cal’s hope is that perhaps what he writes in the pages of Reflections will give his readers a positive insight into the ways of God with man. That is his prayer and stated purpose in writing this book. The reader will find his perspective interesting, exciting, frightening, intimidating, daunting and even threatening – but never fearful. Forward is the only direction Cal knows.
