The Void Cradle: A Lethal Bounty Hunter Sci-Fi Romance

Riven Hale runs with her young daughter one step ahead of the guild that wants her alive for crimes that once fed starving settlements. She's good at running. She's been doing it long enough to know exactly how much ground she has.

Maeve Okafor is the bounty hunter who ends that kind of run. Afro-Irish, elite, and precise. The contract is simple: bring Hale in, collect, move on.

A devastating solar storm rewrites the terms.

Forced into the freezing wreckage of a decaying spaceship, hunter and prey are suddenly sharing scarce air, failing heat, and a child who can't understand what's at stake. Mutual distrust is the only thing keeping them from acknowledging the obvious. Ice, toxic leaks, collapsing corridors, and the constant threat of outside discovery strip every pretense away over the course of hours that feel much longer.

In the dark, something rawer than the storm ignites between them. Riven has spent years building her entire existence around protecting one person. Maeve has spent a career refusing to look too closely at the lives she delivers to other people's agendas. Neither planned on wanting the other. Neither planned on the quiet moments of care that somehow survive the void between them.

When the storm clears and outside hunters close in, the choice crystallizes. The bounty or the bond. The credit transfer or the woman and child who have rewritten every rule Maeve ever followed.

On Null's Wake, survival costs something. Desire doesn't stay buried. And some hunts end with a claim neither woman saw coming.

***

Rupture doesn't soften anything. This is dark sci-fi WLW romance built for readers who want their survival brutal and their desire hot enough to melt steel.

Across these standalone books, hardened single mothers with blood-soaked histories and permanent scars get pushed into desperate, violent corners. Ruined cybernetic slums, toxic alien wastelands, environments that have no interest in anyone's survival. These women will tear down galaxies to protect their children. That's not a figure of speech.

Underneath the grit and the armor and the lethal violence, there's a raw, searing hunger that doesn't wait for safe conditions.

High-stakes danger, morally grey chemistry, and deeply intense steamy romance where fierce redemption gets forged in absolute chaos.

No softening. No apologies. Just fire.
