Saving the world: Starting with your community and neighbourhood ft. Arushi Poddar

Arushi Poddar is an Animal and Environmental activist. She's the founder trustee of People for Animals, Bangalore and a friend of many three-legged canines who have adopted her.

Arushi works with adults and children and those with special needs through creative expression and therapeutic theatre. She is also the founder of Muktangan, a creative centre for children. She is also been working in the field of education with government school kids.

Arushi wishes for a healthier, greener life, so she lives as environmentally friendly an existence as she can; from reducing to upcycling to pioneering a solid waste management program and living sustainably. She is the Founder of Sada Zero, a domestic waste management program.

Arushi Poddar is also a Member of the State Film Censor Board (To safeguard animal rights), Member of the Animal Welfare Board, Member of the CPCSEA (Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals and A trained and practising counsellor and an associate of Sparsh counselling centre.
