A horror/comedy fiction audio drama podcast set in the Hawaiian Islands which reimagines some of the urban legends and ghost stories that local Hawaii residents have grown up with and asks the question, “What if a well-intentioned but out of his element paranormal investigator tackled these cases?” Harry Wong runs Paranormal Investigations Hawaii based in Downtown Honolulu. A former police officer, Harry left the force under mysterious circumstances to devote himself full time to investigating claims of the paranormal. Each episode features a different urban legend where Harry will attempt to unravel the underlying mysteries of the case while searching for something important which he thinks can only be found amongst the ghosts and demons he encounters. That is if he can survive them first.

While searching for his missing associate Kahuna Bob, Harry ends up on the menu for a pack of mana vampires—undead creatures who feed on the life force of the living. But when the ominous drums of the Night Marchers echo in the distance, Harry has to wonder: are they coming to save him… or finish the job? When we last left Harry in Part 1, he had been stalked and attacked by the mysterious Bow Tie Man, a minion of the insect god Mahino. The evil Mahino was about to emerge from his 1000-year hibernation and had nefarious plans that involved Harry's bloodline, and possibly Harry's very soul. Now, along with his trusty new companion Dr.Lindsay Gouveia, Harry was about to breach the hidden sanctuary of the cult of Mahino. Will Harry escape with his fat ass intact? In every city, large or small, there are unique characters you see repeatedly throughout town. These individuals possess distinctive appearances or attire that make them easily recognizable to everyone. You take notice of them, commenting on the seemingly peculiar coincidence of encountering them, and then continue with your day, soon forgetting about the encounter until the next time. However, what if these encounters were not mere coincidences? What if these characters harbored more sinister intentions? Such was the case with my encounter with The Bow Tie Man.

If you grew up on Oahu or lived there for a period of time as a teenager, chances are you’ve visited Morgan’s Corner on a dark moonless night with that cute girl from your social studies class, you know the one with the big chi chis that you had to beg to go to the movies with you. Then after you would drive to Morgan’s Corner and try to scare her with the urban legend of the couple and the blood dripping on the car but she tells you she feels sick and wants to leave. Then you would go home and cry yourself to sleep. Then the next day ..wait, what was I talking about now? Oh yeah, Morgan’s Corner. Well Episode 2 recounts my experience years later investigating that urban legend and my encounter with The Creature at Morgan’s Corner.
