Following the attempted hijacking of an airliner en route from Los Angeles to London, one of the passengers, James Ferrar, a brilliant young scientist in possession of a million dollar formula, is brutally murdered. His cousin, Elise Staar, a private pilot, is forced to take the controls, successfully landing the airliner at London Heathrow airport with the guidance of airline pilot Adam Dorivan, from the ground.
