Skills required for a particular task may vary over time. Re-skilling or up-skilling of employees will be required periodically to keep the workforce productive and effective.

But this involves investment in time, money and resources on the part of the employer and the employees. How do business leaders view the crucial aspect of learning and skilling of the workforce? Is it a cost or an unnecessary burden, often required because of competitive forces or regulation? Or can a highly trained or skilled workforce be a differentiator for an organization?
