It Whispered My Name

What was supposed to be a quiet three-day camping trip turned into a nightmare. Deep in the woods—along a stretch of river that doesn’t appear on most maps—a man began to hear faint footsteps near the water each night. Then came the whispers. They grew louder, calling his name from the darkness. On the final night, the river itself began to churn, mist rising as four human-shaped figures appeared on the opposite bank, staring silently toward his camp. The whispers surrounded him, repeating his name over and over. He didn’t wait to see what would happen next—he ran, leaving everything behind...
