Thank you for tuning in for today's episode! I got to have an amazing chat with my friend HyperChai for a little nighttime discussion about their time at PAX West a few weeks ago. Through helping out the Guardians Mental Health community, she got to experience the perspective of working as an exhibitor. What I loved was hearing about the differences between West & East over in the Boston area. We go over what companies were there attending, vendors, coffee in Seattle and TARIFFS (yayyyy ;-;). I also give her and you all a quick run down on the Nintendo Direct that happened last Friday plus everything being way too expensive nowadays. Hello! I'm excited to have a fun & casual catch up chat with my amazing friend Saturnxne for today's new episode! We essentially just go for a few hours talking about the latest games we've been playing, how we're enjoying the Switch 2 PLUS her thoughts on the last Fan Expo she went to last year. We also go on a Zelda tangent discussing the timeline (we're not experts I swear!) in relation to the recently announced casting Nintendo shared for the live action movie! Also, as die hard coffee lovers, we chat about that as well. Hope you all enjoy this fireside-esque chat :)

Catching Up with Saturnxne!

I'm happy to share my full PAX East 2025 recap episode! Joined as always by my friend & cosplayer/streamer Mink the Satyr, we go over pretty much everything we can think of. From stand out booth designs, the mainstays and of course the games. We also talk about panels, the cosplay space, Red Bull sponsoring the Creator/Media areas, our respective swag and FOOD! So much food consumed in the span of 3 days. This convention always feels like home to me so I hope you guys enjoy this talk I got to have with Mink :)

PAX East 2025

It's been a really long time since I last had KarnageCos on the show and let me tell you how amazing it was! Just us going on about the various conventions they've been to since pretty much the start of last year. Mostly focusing on the ones where she was invited as an official creator/guest but it was still a TON! I was really amazed at the type of conventions she attended. We also go into a lot of convention comparisons and even comparing the various states/areas of Australia to what their U.S. counterpart would be. Bet you weren't expecting to hear a lot about Australia's own Texas right? I get all sappy when it comes to having super long episodes with friends I really cherish so enjoy us catching up for 2.5 hours <3

Catching Up With KarnageCos!

Oh man did we cover a lot in this episode! My annual catch up with Emris Coscept is here and we had so much to say. In addition to the teases of my eventual PAX East episode, Emris went into detail about SakuraCon and how it was done this year. Questionable details aside, she talks about how her cosplays were a surprise hit, the scope of Artist Alley and other cosplays seen! Then I ended up going over my Japan trip for them as they've been previously and we compared notes on what we did. Again, it feels really good to be creating content for this show again, i hope you all enjoy this near 2hr long chat!

Thank you for joining me for today's episode. While convention season is still very much underway, I wanted to take some time and talk about my trip to Japan that just happened a few weeks ago. Japan 2025

I can't recall if I've ever done an episode regarding MAGFest, so I'm extremely excited to not only have that for you today but with a twist! I'm joined by Lance/Toaster as he details what it's like staffing the event as part of the A/V crew. Particularly going into detail about the arcade section of the con. Learn what goes into a job like this with controlling a myriad of lights as well as his thoughts on how the convention scene has changed from when he first started going to now. This was a really insightful conversation and I hope you all enjoy :)

MAGFest 2025

I wanted to make this impromptu episode to sort of vent about the frustrations I've been having with my show since the last episode. Difficulties in booking guests and immense feelings of being unwanted in the cosplay space. I also talk about the possibility of having this new season of the show be its last depending on the content output I'm able to manage. I apologize if this does seem like I'm whining a lot but I've just had these feelings for awhile and wanted a space to let them run free.

Where Do We Go From Here

When I mention how we cover all the extra nerdy bits & bytes in every intro to a show, I mean it :). In this new episode, SpeakingLion joins me for an amazingly fun chat regarding her time at PAX West, from the panels she went to alongside the games played as well. We talk about what we really love about the PAX line of conventions and how it all comes down to the friendships made and that everyone truly feels among their own kind. Lion also goes into detail about some other conventions coming up like LA Comic Con before we go on multiple tangents about Superman, comic books, a random jump scare, my gaming hot takes and inability to watch good movies! For this episode, I've got Allie and Evie of the cosplay duo, Hope and Feathers Cosplay! With both of them being impacted by disabilities, they talk about how it's been for them being in the cosplay world. Also included in this episode are convention tales and how making outfits are when incorporating materials onto such supports like canes, wheelchairs and more!
