In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, President Donald Trump signed legislation to fund the government again putting an end to the longest government shutdown in U.S. history. Trump signaled Monday the government would open soon, as consequences of a lapse in funding continued to snowball, including missed paychecks for federal workers and airline delays stemming from air traffic controller staffing shortages. The bill keeps funding the government at the same levels during fiscal year 2025 through Jan. 30 to provide additional time to hash out a longer appropriations measure for fiscal year 2026. Also the shutdown was never about healthcare for Democrats, audio from Chip Roy on why Democrats held out for so long, the politics of the shutdown and what's gonna happen to Chuck Schumer and hours after the White House accused congressional Democrats of selectively leaking Jeffrey Epstein emails Wednesday, Republicans on the House Oversight Committee made public tens of thousands of additional pages of documents, including emails between the late sex trafficker and prominent reporters.

The incident happened at an event celebrating Tuesday’s passage of Proposition 50 in California which allows pols to redistrict the state and potentially eliminate five Republican congressional seats. Also audio from Jasmine Crockett saying Iranians are "nice people" and won't fly planes into buildings anymore, the liberal mindset of coddling Islamic terrorists and home-grown assassins and the legalization of THC based edibles. Also Kamala Harris thinks she's won the election and Democrats are reluctant to reopen the government.

We know this because they are furious the government is about to resume business. The good news is the shutdown stalemate that has dragged on in the Senate officially ended late Monday night and it places Congress on a path to reopen the government later this week. Senators advanced a bipartisan funding package to end the government shutdown after a group of Senate Democrats broke from their colleagues and joined Republicans in their bid to reopen the government. Also audio from Speaker Mike Johnson officially announcing the reopening, the media's response to ending the shutdown and myths about inflation. Also the socialist mindset defers healthcare costs to future generations and affordability wins with voters in Texas.

In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, the Senate took a massive step forward on its way to reopening the government on Sunday with a group of Senate Democrats caving and joining Republicans in their bid to pass a revamped plan to end the shutdown. Signs that the shutdown, which entered its 40th day, could be ending became more and more clear as the day went on particularly with the unveiling of a bipartisan package of spending bills that lawmakers hope to attach to a modified bill to reopen the government. Also SNAP benefits remain un-affected thanks to the President's contingency fund, where we stand with a broken Obamacare and President Trump pardons Rudy Giuliani and other key figures allegedly involved in efforts to overturn the 2020 election. Also Chuck Schumer loses credibility with his own party and audio from Democratic senators on why they decided to vote to re-open the Government.

11-10-25 Part Two - Hochul vs. Mamdani

In part two of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, Justice Amy Coney Barrett had pointed questions Wednesday about the law Donald Trump invoked to impose global tariffs, joining several other justices on the right and left in voicing skepticism about the president’s ability to use a tool he has deemed critical to carrying out his economic agenda. Solicitor General John Sauer repeatedly argued during the lengthy 2½-hour oral arguments that the emergency law Trump used to enact the tariffs for nearly every U.S. trading partner contained language about regulating imports, which Sauer said included using tariffs. The relevant statute permits the president to "regulate … nullify [and] void … importation," but it does not use the word "tariff." 

Also Bernie Sanders crashes Schumer's news conference yesterday criticizing Democrats for not supporting Zohran Mamdani in New York and Graham Platner in Maine
