The 43 year old Wilson, who recently told CNN she thought embracing the help she got from her parents made her more "relatable" to Seattle voters, quipped on social media that, "after much deliberation and a grueling interview process," she was "pleased" to announce that her higher salary as mayor will mean she no longer needs financial support from her parents. Also, audio from The View on Jasmine Crockett's "walk back" on referring to a different Jeffrey Epstein, Lee Zeldin on Jasmine Crockett's lies and President Trump's liability on affordability. Also September's jobs report shatters records and angry sports reporters.

For Democrats, Harris, Newsom, AOC, Buttigieg and Shapiro. The general election pits JD Vance vs. Gavin Newsom. Also Olivia Nuzzi – the US star political reporter known for her cozy access to top Republican figures – dropped an excerpt of her memoir, American Canto. In it, she detailed what she describes as an emotional affair with Robert F Kennedy Jr, who she calls “the politician”, and Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., announced on Thursday he is launching a campaign for California governor in 2026.

In part one of Red Eye Radio with Eric Harley and Gary McNamara they analyze Thursday night's State Of The Union address that was designed to solidify the Democrat base. Viral moments were the arrest of a Gold Star father who shouted from the balcony and Biden mispronouncing Laken Riley's name. Other highlights included Biden playing both sides in the Israel Gaza conflict and calling for more corporate taxes. GOP response was given by Senator Katie Britt to appeal to younger suburban women. In other stories, 170 Democrats voted against the Laken Riley act. Layoff announcements in February hit their highest level for the month since 2009.
