69. The History of Hasbro’s HasLab: What The Sail Barge Has Meant To Collectors!

In 2018, fans successfully funded the first HasLab Star Wars toy campaign, purchasing more than 8,800 $500 Sail Barges from The Vintage Collection line.

To vintage and modern collectors alike, Jabba’s Sail Barge was a dream piece, one first seen in 1983’s Return of the Jedi.

But was it worth the nearly 40-year wait?

The first part of the series “The History of HasLab” told the story behind the campaign, the barge’s design, and how it finally arrived into the hands of collectors.

Join host David Quinn for the “rest of the story” in the second episode, in which the collectors who purchased the mighty Sail Barge share the fascinating, funny and touching stories about their experiences with the barge, and what this special and historic toy means to them.

Featuring conversations with Thomas C Dickinson, Mike De Stefano, Sean Lehmkuhl, Chad D Ploof, David Sean Staiti, David Kevin White, and Jason Wasulko, as well as a tale from Keith (Ke We) from Star Wars Fan Caves!
