#1 I was a mess. I was supposed to be someone, but instead I was broke and a three-year-old and an infant were sucking the life out of me. I was lonely and restless. I called my husband to help me clean up the house, but he had to make a living like me.

#2 I had lots of credentials, but was sitting at home not doing anything. I began to press Tim to go out and get a regular salaried job with the same insistence I used to get him to come home and be with me. He was beginning to feel like a failure too.

#3 I loved my kids, and I loved my husband, but I was stuck in a life that seemed to be spiralling downward at every turn. I was seething about how he had walked out on me when I was crying about the missing money.

#4 I was a tornado for the next few weeks. I was constantly raging out of control, and I would run every night. Tim was afraid for my safety in the darkness of the neighborhood, but he didn’t try to stop me from the ritual.
