“How do you know he'll even be here tonight?” I shouted into my best friend’s ear. The pounding beat of the techno music and the voices shouting to be heard over it was making it hard to hear anything. Or be heard for that matter.

Asia and I had been friends since we met in high school. Her family had moved and transferred her to my school. Then she'd been a pudgy awkward teenager. Ten years later, she was slim and gorgeous. Her career as a dancer had taken off and she had dreams of owning her own school. She'd been trying for a while to land an audition with Badd Productions. They hired backup singers, dancers and models for artists and designers.

She'd gotten a tip from one of her friends that one of the CEO’s of the company often frequents Club Ten on Friday nights. Asia looked around.

“Sheesh, I don't see him. Hell, what does a CEO look like anyway?”
