A Shepherd's Pearls

Once again, my friend Jim Brissey has authored a book that is wonderful, encouraging, and personal testimony to the fact that God uses everyday experiences and encounters to bring us closer to Him. Thank you, Jim, for sharing these precious pearls with us.

-Gigi Graham

He likes to call me his "Barnabas," but I consider myself his "Timothy." Jim has been my good shepherd, and his friendship, love, and ministry have enriched my life and my walk with the Lord.

-William T. Morgan, MD

At my lowest and loneliest, Jim was the one who showed up. His servant leadership and outreach to the poor, imprisoned, and forgotten demonstrate his core mission: "Your kingdom come, Your will be done."

-Pastor John Barham

I met Pastor Jim in 1995 while I was serving five life sentences in Zephyrhills Prison. Released from prison on January 1, 2020, after twenty-seven years and 111 days, I now serve as a licensed minister & deacon in my church.

-Deacon Thomas Duckett

This book will make you laugh, wince, and, at times, put a tear in your eyes. Knowing Jim and sharing prison ministry with him for more than twenty years, I have personally seen him live out his words in action.

-Former Sr. Chaplain David K. Miller

Throughout the twenty-plus years I have been honored to serve with Higher Ground Ministries, we've seen thousands of souls touched and saved from the cells of death row to the beaches of Daytona.

-Former Prisoner James "Gator" Leggett

In A Shepherd's Pearls, Pastor Jim shares insights and pearls of discovery gleaned from twenty-five years of full-time outreach ministry. You will be blessed and challenged by "aha moments" from Billy Graham's boardroom to death row, from the Sea of Galilee to the slums of Honduras, from the smokey A.A. rooms of the Bowery in New York to kayaking the cobalt blue ocean in Maui, Hawaii. Whether you are a new believer or a seasoned saint, A Shepherd's Pearls reminds us there is always higher ground in God!
