Message from Hong Kong

A clue to the mystery of a woman's missing husband sends her on a dangerous journey in this suspense thriller from a Grand Master Award–winning author. Marcia Lowry's husband Dino disappeared more than three years ago. The last word she and her father-in-law received from him came from Bangkok, where he was engaged in his family's import-export business. They feared he was kidnapped, but neither were willing to believe he was dead. Now, a strange message has arrived from Hong Kong in the form of a jade stone. Dino's father believes this is a sign that his son is still alive. Wanting closure one way or the other, Marcia travels to China to find out who sent the stone and if it's connected to Dino. She's ready to put her unhappy marriage behind her and start over with her fiancé Richard Blake. But Marcia only finds more questions than answers in Hong Kong. The man who sent the jade stone denies knowing anything about Dino, before sending her a list of names and American port city locations. Then the man is murdered. The police have cleared Marcia of any involvement, but she believes someone is following her. Joined by Richard, Marcia follows the names and locations on the list across America. Now, they are targeted by people engaged in a dangerous enterprise, who are willing to kill to protect their secrets. Secrets that include what happened to Dino Lowry . . . "First rate. May well be her very best." —Herald Tribune
