Summer on Monhegan isn’t anything like Elizabeth expected, and neither is Fisher. She hasn’t figured out why he’s so surly, just as she isn’t ready to share what she’s running from. But as the days pass, Elizabeth finds the islanders burrowing deeper into her heart. And Fisher may not be far behind. Still, it might all be for nothing if her past finally catches up with her.
