The Crimson Gardenia

Rex Beach (1877–1949) was an American author, playwright, and watercolorist, best known for his adventure novels set in the American West and Alaska. Born in Atwood, Michigan, Beach spent time working as a gold prospector, real estate agent, and later as a successful writer.
