Metaverse.That's the Buzz word you've been hearing everywhere you turn. Right?It's on the news. It' on TV. It's in your inbox.

But, what the heck is it? Ask 5 different experts and you'll get 5 different answers. Internet 3.0 some call it. The expansion of our current Internet. A hybrid thats a mix of real and virtual reality. A great technological advance that will change the way we live play and work.

About the only thing it's promoters can agree on, is that the term "Metaverse" originated from Neil Stephensons 1996 Sci-Fi Book.

But if you haven't read that book, it paints a dark and depressing future virtual World. Totally opposite to all the sunshine and blue skies predictions of the Metaverse evangelists.

The fate of the metaverse, like the fate of us all,is just a question of "time will tell."
