Arrival is a 2016 science fiction drama directed by Denis Villeneuve. The film follows linguist Dr. Louise Banks, portrayed by Amy Adams, who is recruited by the U.S. military to help communicate with extraterrestrial beings after twelve mysterious spacecraft land on Earth.
