The books are sufficiently interesting, although I don’t understand the hype. For me, the almost continuous vocal fry in the voice of Parisa and the slow drawl of Reina’s voice become almost unbearable to listen to at times. It takes me away from the story. The premise of the story is quite interesting, but the story itself comes across as a bit pretentious to me. A lot of pseudo-academic talk, that depends on the willingness of the reader to follow along unquestioningly.

Didn't finish it. Nothing happens and the reviews on Goodreads confirm not much will. I only kept listening to know how it ends, but it is not worth my time.

I finished it but the ranting of some characters really annoyed me and I couldn't make heads or tails of the story anymore

"The Atlas Paradox" is a compelling and intriguing novel that honestly takes you on a thought-provoking journey. Although some parts of the book were a bit confusing or slow-paced, the overall narrative is captivating and filled with fascinating ideas. Personally, I'm really looking forward to "The Atlas Complex" next year, especially with the huge cliffhanger at the end of the novel.

DNF mainly because of the voice over for Parisa’s character. Who is reading that part? I will make sure to NEVER listen to her read anything ever again, The voice is so whiny, with an annoying drawl and I can barely hear the words at the end of the sentence. It turns into some sort of whisper almost. That’s so unnecessary. Just read in your normal voice, please! Ugh. The voice is like nails over a chalkboard to me. Hard to keep focused on the story because of the voice over for some of the characters.

Bijzondere karakters en storyline. Goed geschreven soms wat langdradig. Het is mij iets te distopian, ik mis liefdevolle situaties. Wel benieuwd naar deel drie…
