NervepirrendeMorsomOverveldendeSkummelMark Lawrence again proves that he is among the best of his craft. I don’t think this is his strongest series, and I think you should read the broken empire series, which takes place at the same time in the same world about a different cast, but it is still very good. Enjoyable and with a fascinating, if not super deep, world and distinctly human characters, this is recommended to fans of The Gentlemen Bastards series.

The story isn't too bad, but why the reader finds it necessary to slobber away with all kinds of moronic accsents and dialects I don't understand.
