Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is a multifaceted American entertainer, born May 2, 1972, who has achieved success as an actor, professional wrestler, and businessman. He was a reluctant hero and after fan backlash, he turned heel, joining the Nation of Domination. Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, was initially reluctant to use the ring name "Rocky Maivia," which combined his father's and grandfather's names, but was convinced by Vince McMahon and Jim Ross.
