We’re All Special

● About the Book A “Show Off Your Things” contest is on! A competition between a chair, a pot, and a fountain pen—who will be crowned the most valuable?

In a village, people began to treat their belongings carelessly, leaving the items feeling unappreciated and sad. Then, a “Show Off Your Things” contest was held, offering the chair, the pot, and the fountain pen a chance to show how valuable they truly were. A traditional chair once used by King Sejong, a versatile pot that cooked enough food for thirty people at a famous noodle shop, and a fountain pen made in the year 1020! Which one will take first place? Will this contest encourage people to treat their belongings with care and respect?

● Publisher’s Review Recognizing Value Through Uniqueness

The chair demonstrates its worth as an important historical artifact, once used by King Sejong. The pot reveals its practical value by serving meals to many, while the fountain pen shows its timeless significance as a tool for writing over centuries. This book reminds readers that every object holds value beyond what meets the eye. By recognizing and appreciating their uniqueness, we uncover their true worth.

From Comparison to Respect

The winning item does not claim the trophy and prize as a personal achievement but shares them with the other items, recognizing their unique importance. This story emphasizes that respecting one another’s individual values is far more meaningful than comparing and ranking each other.
