Ett ofantligt bokprojekt som försöker omfatta nästan alla aspekter av vad som utspelades under 1800-talets första hälft i Tsarryssland och östra Europa. Inläsaren är neutralare och mer behaglig än andra som läst in den här boken. Översättningen som valts till inläsningen är dock inte den bästa. Den har t.ex. valt att använda namnformerna Andrew i s f Andrej och Nicholas för Nikolaj. Föredrar Oxford-upplagans revised edition.
