The narrator served the words with the perfect balance of a top tennis player , each serve hitting home and astonishing me with the depth and beauty of her prose. It was like explosions in the heart as she put words to things in a way that opened up veins of feelings and sometimes even new understanding. An incredible writer. I hope there’s more of hers to read.

For a long time I have delayed reading this book. Now that I have liste éd to it at 1.5 speeds for maximum effect, I am happy to say that is was a wonderful poetic prose, an odyssey in the heart of love and in the land of people with aspirations and yearning to be free. It is a story that was soulful told and can be appreciated by all. It is an educative tell in kindness and abnegation that incorporates all current topics. "Their eyes were watching god" is more relevant today than ever before.
