‘So to mortal men, we are monsters. Because of our flight, our strength. They fear us, so they call us monsters’
Medusa is the sole mortal in a family of gods. Growing up with her Gorgon sisters, she begins to realize that she is the only one who experiences change, the only one who can be hurt.
When Poseidon commits an unforgiveable act against Medusa in the temple of Athene, the goddess takes her revenge where she can: on his victim. Medusa is changed forever – writhing snakes for hair and her gaze now turns any living creature to stone. She can look at nothing without destroying it.
Desperate to protect her beloved sisters, Medusa condemns herself to a life of shadows. Until Perseus embarks upon a quest to fetch the head of a Gorgon . . .

This book was amazing, getting to know the human side of Madusa and her story was heartbreaking. And the way Natalie has given the characters recognizable personalities gave me the feeling that I was there, I could picture it all. Natalie did a great job with the reading, you could hear how well she knows the characters and how much though she has put in to them.

Det tar ett litet tag innan man liksom är med på noterna. Men sen. Smart, rolig, sorglig.

DNF: i really wanted to like it but almost every character is an arse except medusa with her sisters, the titular character you hardly get to know. Once the author stepped out of the shadows to literally tell-instead-of-showing why perseus, a son just trying to help his mom, is a little piece of shit I knew I was done. It just ruined my immersion that the author felt that she had to tell me how to feel about a character instead of making me feel that way through the story.
