She made her debut in 1992 with the philosophical novel *På flykt från tiden*, and in 2008, she published the crime novel *Pepparkakshuset*—the first installment in the popular and multi-award-winning series about the Hammarby police team. This was followed by *Mamma, pappa, barn*, *Vyssan lull*, *Helgonet*, *Gideons ring*, *Hennes iskalla ögon*, *Tjockare än vatten*, and *Falleri fallera falleralla*.

In 2018, she published the standalone psychological thriller *Det som göms i snö*; the book won several awards and was named one of the best books of the year in the US in 2021 by the American trade publication *Publishers Weekly* (under the title *Black Ice*).

She made her debut as an author of books for children and young adults in 2019 with the acclaimed *Projekt Gemini: Ett annat jag*, co-written with Petter Lidbeck. This was followed by two more books in the *Zodiak* series: *Ett bättre jag: Projekt Libra* and *Ett evigt jag: Projekt Pisces*.

There is also a short story, *Plastpärlor*, which serves as a spin-off to *Mamma, pappa, barn*.

The ninth book in the Hammarby series, *Elddop*—written in a unique collaboration with Victor Pavic Lundberg—is set for publication in 2026.
