Allgemein nannte man Chefinspektor Oliver Rater durch Zusammenziehung seines Vor- und Familiennamens "Orator". Das heißt auf Deutsch "Redner". Die Entstehung des Spitznamens ist ohne weiteres klar, aber weniger bekannt ist die Tatsache, dass der Chefinspektor eigentlich sehr wenig sprach und dass diese Bezeichnung daher eine ironische Bedeutung hatte. Aber sowohl seine Vorgesetzten als auch andere Leute wussten sehr gut, dass er dafür umso mehr dachte.
