Als man Picasso an seinem Lebensabend einmal nach dem Unterschied zwischen Kunst und Erotik fragte, antwortete er nachdenklich: „Aber - es gibt keinen Unterschied.“ Wie andere vor der Erotik, so warnte er vor der Kunst: „Kunst ist niemals keusch, man müsste sie von allen unschuldigen Ignoranten fern halten. Leute, die nicht genügend auf sie vorbereitet sind, dürfte man niemals an sie heranlassen. Ja, Kunst ist gefährlich. Wenn sie keusch ist, ist sie keine Kunst.“ Der Begriff der erotischen Kunst ist von einem Halo irrlichternder Begriffe umgeben. Kunst oder Pornographie, Sexus oder Eros, Obszönität oder Originalität - diese unscharfen Bestimmungs- und Abgrenzungsversuche vermengen sich so sehr, dass eine objektive Klärung beinahe unmöglich scheint... Wann kann man von „erotischer Kunst“ sprechen?
