With Inside Stories, Rich Murphy has as an initial impetus plumbing the physical and emotional interior of Homo sapiens. Friedrich Schiller's play drive may best describe the style: "It is union of the unconscious and reflection that makes the poetic artist." Meta-modernism may best describe its heart. He agrees with philosopher Alain Badiou, who states, "Poetry in some sense portrays . . . what was impossible to say in the same language."
