A literary romantic comedy in the style of David Nicholls, Nick Hornby and Karen Joy Fowler. Matias is fearful of losing his friends over an obsession with his ex-girlfriend Sara. To prove that he has moved on from her, he embarks on an odyssey of dates around the city of Ljubljana. In Matias, the hero of this comic and romantic tale, Jela Krecic has created a well-observed crypto-misogynist of the new millennium whose behaviour she offers up for our scrutiny. None Like Her marks the arrival of a funny and refreshing new voice in contemporary women's fiction. Along with Three Loves, One Death by Evald Flisar and Panorama by Dusan Sarotar, None Like Her is part of the three-book World Series from Peter Owen Publishers and Istros Books. Each series brings to light the vibrant and innovative fiction produced in a featured country, offering readers the very best literature in translation.
