Rainer Maria Rilke (1875 - 1926) schrieb seine Erzählung Pierre Dumont 1894 für eine Zeitschrift, sie blieb aber ungedruckt. Erst 1932 hat Carl Sieber diesen kleinen Text veröffentlicht. Pierre Dumont ist kein eigentlicher Schultext, vielmehr schildert Rilke auf den wenigen Seiten die Abschiedsstunden von Mutte rund Sohn. Pierre wird zum Militärinternat zurückgebracht und verbringt die letzten fünf Stunden mit seiner Mutter.
