Elfenmeisje Isayla zit nog in haar cocon als ze plotseling wordt gegrepen door een roofvogel. Ze komt terecht in het Donkere Woud waar ze bovenop de bosnirvaan Adahy valt. Het is het begin van een hechte vriendschap. Isayla wil terug naar haar moeder, maar dat is nog niet zo eenvoudig. Elfen en bosnirvanen zijn namelijk in conflict met elkaar en het mistige woud zit vol gevaren. Als Isayla voor een moeilijke keuze komt te staan, beseft ze wat ze moet doen.
Michelle Arts (1984) groeide op in Nijmegen, studeerde in Tilburg en woont nu met haar gezin in 's-Hertogenbosch. Ze schrijft graag avontuurlijke fantasy verhalen voor de jeugd. Haar grootste inspiratiebronnen zijn haar twee dochters, dieren, de natuur en haar eigen onuitputtelijke fantasie.
