‘I only have this radio with me, ’ he said in his deep voice and handed her the radio machine he used to communicate with the other taxi drivers. His deep tone buffered her for a second, but she shook off and grabbed the radio from his hand. ‘Please!’ she screamed into the machine. ‘If you can hear me! Please, call the police!’ she started crying. ‘Please! Send them to the industrial area outside the city!’ ‘What seems to be the problem?’ a voice asked on the other end of the machine.
